Description: David Stewart Pottery Bowl 9-1/2" D - Two Cows - Artist SIGNED - Vintage. Based on the signature and flower stamp, this bowl was made sometime in the 1970s to 1980s. (source: The Marks Project) David Stewart, (1930 - 2019), was an American educator, painter/potter and former assistant to the late Marguerite Wildenhain for nearly 20 years. Marguerite Wildenhain was an apprentice of renowned German artist Gerhard Marcks at the Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Condition : Excellent. No chips, cracks, scratches, or damage of any kind. It was kept displayed in a glass cabinet. Measures: 9-1/2 inches diameter x 1.75 inches tall.
