Description: This listing is for a LANDSCAPE PAINTING by DAVID STEWART(1930 -2019). Mr. Stewart was the design assistant to Marguerite Wildenhain(1896-1985) at her school of ceramic design, Pond Farm, in Guerneville, California from 1960 to 1980. He was a gifted potter and I have a few of his creations listed in my eBay store. This piece was painted at his ceramic studio in Dulzura, San Diego County in 2006 I think although the date by his signature is a little unclear. The title is 'Trees in Dulzura'. He brought this to my small gallery in 2007 and was accompanied by his daughter Gail Stewart and I will be listing a few of her paintings in the future. This piece is 20 inches wide by 16 inches high. This is a very strong vibrant example of David Stewart's expression of line and design and is reflective of his pottery designs I believe!
