Description: DARK PASSAGE by David Goodis, Julian Messner, 1946. 1st edition, 1st printing. Basis for the Humphrey Bogart/Lauren Bacall film. This is an ex-library copy with the usual flaws and then some (see attached photos). Stamps, pocket and date slip on back endpapers. Dust jacket is missing. Front flap from the jacket is pasted to front endpaper. Boards have significant soiling the rubbing. Spine lettering is faded and hard to make out. Board edges show wear and corners are bumped. Despite all this the book is tight and complete in acceptable condition. This is an extremely scarce book to fine in first/first state. Please email me if you have any questions.
