Description: Loys Delteil. Le Peintre-Graveur Illustré (XIXe et XX Siècles), Vols. 20-29 bis. Honoré Daumier. Paris: Chez l'Auteur, 1925-1930. The complete run (eleven volumes bound in six tan buckram tomes) of Delteil's catalogue raisonné of Daumier's lithographic oeuvre, printed on glazed paper, with over 2,800 works described and illustrated. The definitive catalogue raisonné of Daumier's lithographic work in the First Edition, as opposed to the 1969 Collectors Editions reprint, which, with its crowded design and murky reproductions, is a production of all around lesser quality. All five volumes are in Excellent Condition, with some wear to the leather labels on the volumes' spines, but the slightest wear to the volumes' bindings, and their interiors pristine; the flyleaf of each volume is stamped "The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum", now obscured with Wite-Out. N.B. The first photo above shows the six Daumier volumes on the shelf in my library, sandwiched between a book on Arthur Dove and another book on Edgar Degas. Please note that this listing is only for the six volumes on Daumier. All other books shown in that first photo are not included with sale of the Daumier books.
