Description: Collected last autumn (2023) from vigorous plants that escaped the neighbor's garden under the fence. Very fast growing. Likes full sun for at least part of the day. Heat tolerant. Drought tolerant. Will happily grow in poor soil.Does not require much water - soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings. These seeds have been stratified (kept cold over the winter), stored with care, and are ready to plant. Typical germination time ~10-20 days. Plants grow up to 5 ft (1.5 m) tall. Large, seductively fragrant, white flowers unfurl at dusk. Honeybees absolutely love them! The flowers attract hawk moths and other nocturnal pollinators during the night. Sacred Datura can be grown in a container (outside/balcony/sunny window indoors). NOTE: Like many members of the nightshade family, Datura wrightii contains a variety of alkaloid compounds. In this species, the primary alkaloid is scopolamine. All parts of the plant should be considered toxic..
