This happens to be a very popular holiday for perfect marble making weather and our marble craftsmen from JABO and DAS always seem to love getting together for this wonderful patriotic holiday and making marbles. It is no coincidence that we have multiple marble runs by JABO called "Memorial Day". I think it has to do with Master Dave's military background and his undying love of country. What other wholesome hobby can you think of other than making these beautiful little spheres of art that please adults and children alike? Baseball, apple pie and marble making...lol. How fun, right? Okay, a little information on this marble: this marble has plenty of gold lutz dusting the complete surface to make it sparkle in sunlight or indoors as well. A flashlight will make it explode with reflections. The ivory internal glass has a wispy cloud-like consistency to give it a light and airy feeling. The yellow lemonade colored glass provides a nice contrast to those very dark mahogany oxblood swirls. Enjoy. I rotate the marble from all sides to show all angles of the marble, not just the money shots. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR with built-in flash to show as much of the detail as possible. This marble was made on the 3/4" machine and measures 0.727" in diameter with electronic calipers. Note 1: please excuse the flash reflection and the thumbprint...it is not a flaw in the marble...only a flaw in my photographic skills. :-). Note 2: There are just a few surface specks that can be seen against the ivory background if you use magnification as in the last photograph. However, under normal light conditions and no magnification, they are very difficult to pick out from the gold lutz sparkles. In any case, I have noted the mint minus condition for this reason.
