The series consists of 36 commemorative medals and constituted America's first comprehensive medalic tribute to The Great Women of the American Revolution. This was also the first series of pewter medals ever struck by the Franklin Mint. The collection was issued at the rate of one medal per month from 1974 through 1977. Some of the sculptors were Vincent Miller, William Shoyer, Ernest Lauser, and Richard Baldwin.LIMITS OF EDITION:This is the only edition of this collection that will ever be issued. It was reserved exclusively for members of the Daughters of the American Revolution and for established Franklin Mint collectors. There was a limit of one set per subscriber.
