Description: DAMASK Serve Shallow Bowl/Plate. It measures approximately 6.25” wide in diameter and .75” high. It has some wear and spots from use and storage. I found some like this and it is hand made and hand decorated. The decorations are applied on the back of the item, front face is genuine glass. Food safe for hot or cold food. Would also be nice as a display piece. Damask is a style of weaving with reversible patterns on fabric. Hand painted and decorated with patina painting and gold gilding techniques on glass dating back to the Byzantine period. Please see pictures for more details and thanks for looking.
