Description: Dagger Tools “New Release “TR-1500 auto body damaged trim bumping & restoration fixture kit. A revolutionary new approach with our trim fixture: 6” usable reach (depth), 6” usable gap. Now you can drop bump on most all style auto body trims: stainless, plated or polished steel, aluminum, the drop rod allows you to target a surface area accurately and still leave a single hand free to guide and move in the bumping zone. And for those of us that have a challenge spotting a mallet to a chaser tool without smashing our hand and/or still be able to slightly rotate the trim on the working surface because the dent passes into a joining accurate angle surface, this is the solution. The powder coated fixture, that can be screwed down to a bench or attached to a larger plywood base, comes with a drop rod that has a ½” capacity quick-change steel chuck so that a wide range of tools can be used with the fixture. Tooling included: (1) ea. ½” diameter hard maple chamfered end wood dowel, ½” diameter aluminum chamfered end dowel, ½” & 7/16” steel chaser blade chisels dress of raising, multi-tool than can flipped around in the chuck conveniently, with a wedge, nylon blunt end , several spheres, (3) different size forming spheres with 3/8’ shaft. Also included; (1) ea. 6” leather shot bag, and 6” x 6” shaping pad that allows you to change up the stiffness that you would bump into based on the severity of the trim damage. You can also bump directly onto the steel base plate of the fixture. Also included is our multi page “Raising Guidelines & Finishing Flier”. Auto Body trim is generally not available in the aftermarket especially as vehicles age, so repairing is the only real way to recover dented, and damaged trim.
