Description: Having been a Penn Parts distributor many years ago, I still have a large inventory of parts. I built this Custom Penn 501 from new old stock parts and then added some improvements. First I used new Carbontex drags from Smoooth Drag which will increase the total drag for this reel. Furthermore Carbontex works better in the wet saltwater environment and they last almost forever. Also, I used a new Penn 112H power handle which is really nice for this size reel. Freespool is great and increased lasting drag is as well, making this a really nice reel that is no longer available from Penn. ps. No Manufacturer Box
