No preamp required.The output jack is STEREO. If you plug in a regular guitar cable you will only get the electric sound. If you use the supplied stereo split cable you can switch from electric to acoustic sounds with the push pull pot. Run the electric sound to your amp or processer and run the acoustic direct to the PA system or recording device.Fender locking tunersThe guitar is setup and ready to go.There is a small scuff on the back bottom edge of the body from a wireless unit.
