Description: Up for sale is a nice custom-built bamboo fly rod. This rod is 8' long and it weighs 4.5oz (it feels like it would handle 5wt fly lines just fine). Unfortunately, I am not sure who made the blank. The only marking is on the butt-section and it reads "H.H. Smooth Painted Post 77.4". Aside from the cosmetic wear, I do need to mention that both of the tip ferrules fit a tad loose and they slide all the way in. One of the tip ferrules fits snug enough to have a “pop” when pulled apart. I think if you add some wax, you will be able to fish with this rod as-is. The other tip ferrule has a small click and although adding some wax might help, I am not sure if it would be suitable to fish with as-is. The only other thing I need to mention is one of the tips has a set and the cork handle has some wear. This rod comes with a sock (it has tape coving some holes). All-in-all, a nice rod to use as-is or refinish. Please see all of the photos and thank you for looking.
