I especially love two forms of music...hardcore (the hardest) honky tonk country and wild surf style guitar. A strange mix you might say and possibly true but here you will find the best of both worlds.I also love blues, rockabilly, old timey and anything else only the coolest have but you would probably expect this! THIS IS MY OWN PERSONAL COLLECTION I am selling. Everything is in great condition. I bought most new and would always make a copy to play so most would only have been actually played one or two times. Whenever I played my albums I would wear white cotton gloves. I am selling as my Japanese ice skating champion wife has convinced me it is time to share my music and closing my herring pickling business in Sweden also frees me up to do this. To be a true indie artist the singer must be not overwhelmed by style or image; I don’t mean musical style. They must appear unassuming. They all have a humility and grace to be admired. Years ago when writing about the great Norman Wade I mentioned a barely detectable hairpiece. Lo & behold someone who knew Norman wrote back to say Norman did not wear a hair piece. Well how good is that. That is what I am talking about. Norm has such style he is able to groom his hair so it looks like a rug. That is a compliment and to be admired in the indie side of things. He would have spent as much on haircuts in his lifetime as Keith Urban spends to get that dopey little Frank Zappa-esque bit of chin fluff trimmed just once. Whilst not wanting to harp on it not one if these great musical stylists is ever going to be called Beau Brummel. Some carry a few demons, some a lot. Some have lived the song they sing. Great current indie artists such as Dale Watson, Chris Wall etc do not warrant a place in this hallowed list simply because they are too stylish. Chris Wall would wear limited edition Tony Lamas and Dale has a coat with tails. Dale has also appeared on a major label or two. If you passed any of these hallowed artists in the street you would probably not know they are a star. But to me they are THE true stars. Cornell Hurd is the king. Give me him over a 100 Garth Brooks any day. What you do get is the best of country music...real country music that is played in bars where real people come and listen..it is the real deal and in the words of the great man Cornell they would say “I am your friend”. They are just like you and me but with the talent. My admiration and respect is without bounds. NONE of these records are or have ever been easily available. It takes a superfan like the Swedish Cowboy to shape a collection. ....
