This compact evergreen tree has 4-8-inch-long, glossy, dark green, divided leaflets and makes an ideal shade, specimen, patio or poolside tree. This 10-24 foot tree prefers light to medium soils in an open, sunny position. It will withstand drought conditions but dislikes frost. The leaves are glossy green, alternate, fern-like. Its main assets are decorative fruit, erosion control, fast growing. Hardy in zones 9-11 and should be protected in cold spells when still young.
