VERY IMPORTANT: This item has had its charging cable modified/enhanced: It comes with a 2m 10AWG charging cable, at the end of which is attached a pair of removable crocodile/alligator clamps (all included as seen in photos). If eyelet terminals are needed, an EC5 to M10-eyelet cable (purchased separately) should be acquired and attached in the place of the crocodile attachment.In a similar manner the charging cable can also be easily extended using 10AWG wire and EC5 sockets (purchased separately). M vs MXS vs PRO series CTEK chargers The Marine series charger models are prefixed by the letter ‘M’ and the M300 is top-dog. The M200 and M300 have a 5 year manufacturer warranty, whereas the MXS chargers have a 2 year manufacturer warranty. The M200 and M300 are adapted for fixed installation in vehicles and boats, have no alligator clips and they are fitted with M8 eyelets as standard. In contrast, the MXS15 & MXS25 are adapted to be portable for workshop and exhibition environments and have alligator clips as standard instead of o-ring eyelets. The Marine series have a night mode which when pressed derates the charging power of the units to 50% so that the units don't get hot and require the internal fan to run. After 8 hours the chargers return to full power. With both the MXS15 & MXS25 chargers the Night mode is replaced with the Power Supply mode which provides 13.6 Volts so you can power electrical equipment up to the chargers rated max. current. The PRO25S is the replacement for the MXS25, the internals of the PRO25S are an all-new design that allows for running at peak power output without any derating for heat dissipation.
