Description: Carl Tielsch (CT) Altwasser founded his Altwasser Falctory in the Silesia area of Germany in 1845. It swiftly became the second largest porcelain factory in Silesia. This beautiful Teapot, Creamer and Sugar Set (c.1930) was made by C.T Altwasser in Silesia Weimer Germany Between 1848 to 1933. The Weimar German mark was used on the tea pot. The mark on the creamer and sugar bowl is from after 1934. Both are hard to read. This rare five piece set (including lids) is a dark cream color with lavendar flowers (asters or daisy??) with green trim. The handles are in gilt. The only damage I see is some fading on the gold lids and a small chip under the lip of creamer. Each piece has a small chip of finish on each side of the bottom. It's as if they were glued to a rail and the glue pulled the finish off. Please see pictures of the bottoms.Measures: teapot - 3" x 3.5". Creamer - 3" x 2.75". Sugar Bowl - 3" 3/5" plus lid Other Notes: Most of my items come from auctions or estate sales, so I may not know the history of an item.
