Ltd., Vancouver, B.C. Frank Gowen, 1878 to 1946 was born in the United Kingdom. He worked in Brandon, Manitoba, in 1907. By 1916 he was in partnership as Gowen & Stevens in Vancouver then incorporated under the name Gowen Sutton Co. Ltd. As a publisher of real photo and printed postcards of the Canadian West, they produce cards depicting large cities and captured many hard to reach wilderness views. Many of their cards were hand tinted in a simple manner striving for style rather than realism, which created cards in vastly differing quality. POOR-collectible for very rare cards or is a reference copy given presence of major flaws or damage. Classement MINT- Parfait. NEAR MINT - Quasiment aucune imperfections. EXCELLENT - Légèrement usés. VERY GOOD - Oblitération légère ou plis léger, en général, en très bonne condition. GOOD - Plis et courbures, déchirures, taches visibles.
