Cover FX pretty much takes a lot of the guess work out of matching your undertone with each of their 40 shades labeled clearly to be G for Golden undertones. Another not so obvious addition are the G+ shades which are adjusted for olive skin tones that go a tad warmer. They describe this as a “modern-matte,” long-wearing, medium-to full liquid foundation. Our interpretation of the “modern” is how it goes on matte without going overboard or looking dry and chalky (a thumbs up in our book). The square, no-mess tube will take a whole fist to squeeze out the foundation, and we found one squeeze gave us a nice, medium coverage, and two will let you build to full. Our first impression for our combination skin wasn’t as buttery to smooth over skin, so after a couple goes, we much preferred using a sponge to dab and blend out.
