Description: VINTAGE MCM ** COUROC of MONTEREY **~ "HUMMINGBIRD KACHINA" ~*~ 7" INLAID PLATTER or TRAY ~*Small, Inlaid Wood with Metal Outline _______________________________ SIZE: This piece measures 7" in height; 6 " in width DESCRIPTION: This auction features a Couroc of California tray. The theme and title is "Hummingbird Kachina." The image appears to reflect a Southwestern theme and has the image of said Kachina in the front middle. This appears to have inlaid small wood pieces -- some that appear to have been dyed. The back bears the original sticker which outlines information about the Hummingbird Kachina in Hopi culture, and further details information about the company itself. It definitely an interesting piece to look at. Please do view the pictures (and video) as a part of the overall description. CONDITION: FAIR ~ I am considering the use when factoring the condition rating. This tray would likely be considered in Fair condition for the age and use of it. There are some minor surface scratches seen on both sides, but nothing I would personally consider unusual for a vintage piece. I did note some minor storage soiling, which includes fingerprints (these can even be seen in the pictures and video). That said, I will leave any cleaning to the new owner. Ultimately, I do not see any chips, cracks, or other major issues. The coloring and image on the front appears to be doing well, with no missing inlay or other problems. I would ask that the pictures (and video!) are viewed as an extension to the overall description of this piece, too, as I do feel it gives a better view of what you would see in person. With age and use considered, I would still say both of this pieces rates in Fair PLUS condition overall.
