Description: A professionally refurbished wooden Conn 444N large bore professional model clarinet. Serial Number B297836. We estimate this instrument is from 1942. It also bears additional numbers and U.S.A. indicating that this instrument was used in the U.S. Army (WWII). All new double-bladder pads and corks, mechanism tight, nickel-plated keys. This is a hard-to-find large-bore professional model instrument particularly well-suited for playing jazz. No cracks. Has had an earlier crack professionally repaired in the center tenon socket and has had brass tenon rings installed for stability. Nickel-plated keys. This instrument has been lovingly restored in our shop. This represents one of the better large-bore American clarinets. Comes with a case, hard rubber mouthpiece, and accessories.
