About the artist:Beverley BissellBeverley Bissell was a lover of the natural world. She often preferred the natural landscape, enjoying the wilds of maine where she frequently would explore with her camera or pack with art set in search of an object of beauty. Beverley would travel the world in search of her next muse and accumulated a fair collection of these places and beauties that she loved. Her art earned her many awards in local, maine art competitions but it was always something she just loved to do.Born in Montreal Canada, Beverley didn’t begin to explore art until she was in her late 20s. After this point, she spent much of her time exploring with her camera and beginning to develop her craft drawing. She first developed a talent in ink drawings, where she briefly ran an ink drawing/sketch business selling reprints of her work. These early drawings focused mainly on the Maine sea cost and often included lighthouses and depictions of sailing or fishing scenes. Years later, she would improve on her watercolors and oils.
