Even 1st VIRGINIA VOL’s is exactly as it should be when melted and painted to this large blade. This Bowie knife was designed in Texas and shipped throughout the South for many years starting back during the Alamo to the Great Civil War. There is no damage other than being used and nicely well balanced with a beautiful long blade. This Bowie knife has a good build up of untouched patina as shown in my high resolution photos. My history books show this exact design Bowie knife being made and used by the Confederate Military. I’ve taken this knife out of my display hoping to find a good home.
