They are a minimum of 1.5" in body length, with a total length of 4 1/2"+. Some animals may be larger than this, but we will not ship smaller animals. Veiled chameleons are shipped Monday-Wednesday via Priority Overnight to a certified FedEx Ship Center, hold for pick-up by the person who received the eBay order ONLY. This ensures both the safety of the chameleon and the integrity of the transaction. In most cases, your chameleon will arrive by 10:30 a.m. the day after shipping. Veiled chameleons can only be shipped when transit* temperatures are above 30 degrees and below 100 degrees. This is for the safety of the animals. We use insulated boxes with heat packs or cold packs when appropriate, but extreme temperatures can render these methods useless. *Transit temperatures include the hubs that the package travels through in the process of arriving to you. Veiled chameleon coupons must be redeemed within 3 months of the date of the kit purchase. Under special circumstances (e.g. weather) exceptions can be made. Veiled chameleons are only shipped after you have received and set-up your enclosure and have read and acknowledged the care sheet. This ensures a safe transition for the chameleon. Chameleons are guaranteed live arrival only. Any claim to the contrary must be verified with photos within one hour of receipt of the animal as indicated by the delivery confirmation. We are not responsible for carrier delays, acts of God or terrorism or civil unrest. We will do our best to ensure a safe journey for your chameleon, but some things are obviously beyond our control. Veiled chameleons cannot be sent to Hawaii, New Jersey or Washington, D.C. They can be sent to Alaska for an additional charge (weather permitting of course). ABOUT VEILED CHAMELEONS: Veiled chameleons, like all chameleons, spend their lives attempting to hide and blend into their environment. Holding a chameleon is demonstrating to the chameleon that it has failed at one of its most primal instincts (avoiding detection) and is, understandably, somewhat stressful for the chameleon. Coming from a very inhospitable terrain, Veiled chameleons are probably the heartiest chameleon to have as a pet. Regardless of their tolerance to handling, they should be primarily observed rather than handled. There are many other much more suitable reptiles for those who wish to regularly handle their pets. Veiled chameleons are exceptionally interesting and can provide hours of entertainment, especially when eating or attempting to avoid detection (you can't see me on the other side of this branch!).
