The Hatattack leopard or cheetah print hat has a dry clean tag inside, but it washes well on gentle in a laundry bag. The Columbia Hat could used shaved with one of those sock shaver things. I don't have one. My grand niece didn't seem to mind, she only wore this a couple of times and only when she visited. We've always kept extra clothes around for all the kiddos that come to play. These hats won't fit an adult or teen, maybe not pre teen. Recommended for 6 year old or a smaller headed 10 year old. Please ask questions before purchase. Also, please know in advance if the Columbia O/S Youth fits your child or don't purchase the hats. If you have multiple children in mind, you should be fine.
