It is edged in lead came.I am using traditional French paint that is fired in a kiln; the design is permanently a part of the glass and will not fade or scratch off.This example of my art is a kiln-fired 4"x 4" white opalescent glass base (I call them "tiles") . I hand-painted MY line drawing. I then painted the animal and then for the background and then went back and scratched through the paint in a pattern to reveal the white glass below. I experiment.
