Description: Sempervivum, also known as Hens & Chicks, consists of evergreen perennials that form mats of fleshy-leaved rosettes. These rosettes are often attractively colored and produce star-shaped pink or pale yellow flowers in the summer. After flowering, the rosettes die but are replaced by offsets on lateral runners. Sempervivum is easy to grow in poor to moderately fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun. When planting in pots, use a 50:50 mix of peat-free, loam-based potting compost and grit. It's important to protect the plants from excessive winter moisture. The Sempervivum Colorockz Series is ideal for city and courtyard gardens, cottage and informal gardens, as well as gravel or rock gardens. They also make excellent patio and container houseplants, indoor/outdoor decorations, and gifts. 🌱Each starter comes in a small plug-size 1" X 1" X 1 1/4” container.
