Description: This auction is for a mint condition community strip (CMS) from Briarwood Lake. There is apparently no community by this name, and I was unable to find an alternate location (school, church, etc.) that seemed to be the likely source for this patch. [Two theories though: 1) there is a lake, "Briarwood Lake", in Illinois (St. Louis Area Council, now Greater St. Louis Area Council) - might the surrounding community have used that name?; 2) there were neighboring communities of "Briarwood Beach" and "Chippewa-on-the-Lake" in Ohio (now merged to form the community of "Chippewa Lake"; within Akron Area Council, now Great Trail Council) - might "Briarwood Lake" have been a mash-up of those two community names?] If you know where this is from, I'd love to know!I combine shipping, so please see my other auctions for more Scout memorabilia.
