Description: Clyde Heat Hardened Briar Pipe 1847 Vintage Looks Unsmoked, but selling as used. This is one of our last pipes from a collectors stash. We have sold over 100 pipes from this gentleman all have been vintage. I'm not familiar with this maker and the number 1847 could be a pipe number and not a year. There is a film around the pipe that is peeling. Don't know if this was manufactured that way. It doesn't damage the pipe, it's just a film covering the pipe. See pictures for condition
