Description: Climet model 2892 NON-LASER particle counter housing with lamp and optics. This probably predates the use of lasers for particle counters used in clean-rooms and the like to monitor air-born particulates. It includes a halogen lamp, set of relay lenses, aluminized parabolic? focusing mirror, and photodetector in a cylindrical housing that sort of resembles a laser head. But there is NO laser anywhere in this thing. Got it? ;-) Imagine a light bulb at one end, lenses to focus the light from the filament to a small spot where air is passed with it particles. Then a highly curved mirror to focus any scatter from particles to a photodiode. Part it out for the lenses or whatever, or add it to your particle counter collection.
