Description: You are bidding on an original CLIFFORD McBRIDE daily strip for Thursday October 18th. 1951 The long-running and expertly drawn strip Napoleon And Uncle Elby Signed in brush and dated by McBride. There is some question whether this strip, completed many months before it was published in the newspaper, but after McBride's death, is indeed by McBride. I have been told the signature may be by his wife, who continued the strip, and one has said the entire strip may have been done by her. If so, her artwork is identical to her husband's, and so, either way, it is a nice original Napoleon strip. An earlier Napoleon original would set you back a lot more than this. Because the art and signature are in question. I am offering at a low price. Many strip artists used assistants. Please know I will not give a refund for this page, if you believe it is not all by Clifford McBride. There is no way to prove it, and I am telling you ahead of time that it may not all be by him. It may be by him, but there is no way to prove it conclusively. Page is mounted on cardboard and staring to come away from the board.
