Chenille is a cotton/rayon blend fabric that has a wonderfully soft almost a brushed feel and a /matte finish on the back. It is a heavy weight fabric, allowing for a great weight for all project needs. THIS FABRIC IS ONE CONTINUOUS Piece of fabric for a total of 9 yards but is being sold by the yard. BUY THE YARD -- 1yard x 56 inches wideChenille is created when the yarn pile (the short end) is placed between two core yarns and the whole thing is twisted together. This forms the yarn into loops, which are then cut very short on right angles and woven together. This is what makes chenille super fuzzy and soft. The technique used to be done completely by hand but is now created by machines.
