Description: This is a vintage book by Ella B Spooner, on Clark and Tabitha Brown. The full title, is Clark and Tabitha Brown: The First Part of Their Adventures & Those of Their Three Children in New England, Washington & Maryland. Tabitha Moffat Brown would go on to be one of the early pioneers that came across the Oregon Trail as a widow in 1846, at age 65. She would go on to found a school that eventually became Pacific University. Her grave in Salem Oregon states, ""Mother Symbol of Oregon, Co-Founder of Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon." The book itself is a small biography of her family. The name, Ella B. Spooner, is written in the book, in pencil. I cannot verify that the signature is her signature. However other verions of this book, first edition, appear to also be signed.
