Description: A very fine example of a scarce excavated 2 piece Civil War period Confederate locally made Staff Officer's button. Albert# CS-25-A-TY. This example has a blank back with a depressed channel. Button measures 22.26mm. Button has a dark excavated patina with significant original gilding. There is a tiny dent in the rim at about 7 o'clock. See photos for condition details. All buttons are guaranteed to be original and of the period indicated in the description.
