Description: Up for sale, a circa 2001 Gibson ES135 Limited Edition guitar in tobacco-burst. This guitar looks like it was bought and parked under the bed for a few decades. The frets show virtually no wear. Pickups sound great but I'm getting some noise in the potentiometers as is typical from sitting. It's not horrifying but a few squirts of Caig Pro-Gold will be your hero here. There's not much not to like about the cosmetics and finish, I do see a few small marks near the pick-guard / cutaway area (pictured - though the flaws may not show up well). There's one little black scuff on the binding (pictured). Also, you can see a few light button clear-coat swirls on the back if you get the lighting just right. I'd probably give it a 9/10 score on cosmetics but I'd deduct 1/2 a point for the pot noise. Neck feels great with no issues I can detect. Strings look pretty old and I expect are due for replacement. I'm also sure the fretboard and body would benefit from a little TLC, polish, etc.... (frets look a little drab/oxidized). This is believed all original, it does not appear to be messed with in any way. Original case looks fairly good though the locking tab is bent. You might find a few small tears on the case leatherette but it's pretty good overall. These don't seem to be well represented on the used market (aka - not many are out there for sale). Despite not being an expert, I'd say that this feels like one of those instruments where they got everything right. Fit, feel, and finish are all very good and it sounds great. Here's a pro quality instrument that could be used for a lifetime (or more) if cared for. US bidders/buyers only please. This will ship tracked and insured.
