Description: Christian Ulbricht Nutcracker Soldier Guard 15.5 Inch Erzgebirge Seiffen Germany This classic soldier/guard nutcracker was created by Christian Ulbricht GmbH, located in the Erzgebirge or Ore Mountains region of Germany since 1928. The large gold sticker on the base says that it is Ore Mountain Folk Art (Erzgebirgische Volkskunst) and sold by Seiffener Nussknackerhaus in Seiffen, Germany. The lever is straight and almost flush with the back. He leans forward slightly, but he is firmly attached to the base; this is how he was made. His bayonet is removable. He appears to have been for display only, i.e. not used to crack nuts. Condition: Very nice! His right arm has a thin black mark on the back and the left arm has a smaller gray mark. The lever has light wear on the edges.
