I tried to make sure to show pictures of the wear and tear. Please notice the spines do show signs of use and there’s some fraying along the edges. Also there are some marks from crayons, etc on a few of the covers and a few tears on the pages. But overall the covers are sturdy and are holding up well and there is very minimal damage to the inside of the books. The vast majority of the pages are in excellent condition and as far as I know there are no missing pages. The stories and poems include old classics and the vintage photos and explanations are great-a true blast from the past and will provide solid, quality learning to your children. •This set belonged to my grandparents and was well used and enjoyed by their 5 children and many of us grandkids! We would love for someone else to have this set to enjoy! •There is a slight, old book smell to the set but no strong scents or musty smells. My grandparents took great pride in their large home library and took good care of their books. This set is from a smoke free and pet free home.
