Description: Another favorite that pushed me toward Master-level and was an world-acclaimed success. The author is an experienced GM, US Champion, and has the ability to make deep chess thoughts and attitudes seem simple. He uses (almost entirely) his own games to amply explain the battle, keeping alternative lines to the minimum. Added in are chess stories and plenty of competitive psychology. Reviewing this old book, I now notice that he does NOT get to delving into reduced positions (i.e. endings). Figurine algebraic notation. Index of openings, players, and games that aren't his. 224 pages Come back often as I am liquidating a large book collection. I do refund shipping to match actual cost when you buy multiple books.
