It's a vintage, obsolete brass, heart-shaped lock made for the Chesapeake & Ohio. Older lock manufactured by Yale and Towne with their name and "New York" stamped on one side of the shackle, plus the number 85 (1885?). Drop is nicely sprung and clevis is moveable in one direction. Stamped "Made for C&O ---" on the reverse of the body. Not tested.Sold "AS -IS" with no returns, so ask all questions before bidding.
