Description: This beautiful cotton 1890's sunflower quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with a tiny red and white plaid fabric, on a lancaster blue calico ground.It measures 74" X 90" and is in very good condition, with the occasional age spot, surface dirt in places, and no wear. There is quilting around the piecework and in straight line and grid designs in the background, all at 7 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched binding are solid blue, and the batting is thin. NO SURPRISES with this unusual 19th century beauty -- it's even more impressive in real life!
