Description: Please examine photos and ask questions before purchasing. This is a repaired to talk doll, which it does loud and clear. This means there are glued seams on the right and left halves of the torso / body. This repair appears neatly done as can be. I do notice a shade of skin color tone slightly differring front half to back half which is not seen when clothed. Other skin tones may vary, again slightly with nothing I feel stands out or consider disturbing. I did some ring pulling to hear Chatty’s statements. After 14 statements I stopped due to not knowing how many different there should be and also getting some repetition. Some of those random sayings include: Will you play with me? Tell me a story. I’m hungry. May I have a cookie? Let’s have a party. Please change my dress. What can we do now? I hurt myself. Please carry me. Let’s play school. Where are we going? Give me a kiss. Please take me with you. Do you love me? Chatty Cathy stands nearly 20 inches tall. Her joints are firm enough to stand on her own. The clothing is in good clean condition. The shoes are original with straps and bows . Not sure if the shoes have been repaired or resoled. There is some glue at a seam. Pigtail ribbons are replacements. One eyelid does not want to close by itself but can be manually opened or closed. The eyelashes appear good. I do not see any sewn tags with the clothing. The clothing, socks, and underwear came with the doll from another seller and may or may not be original. The talking mechanism is currently working, however there is no way to know an amount of ring pulls for this or any vintage talking doll to continue working.
