Description: Chainsaw carved sitting Pelican. The grains and colors of this carving are beautiful. Carving is made from a storm damaged live oak branch from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Pelican is 23 inches tall, 11 inches in diameter, and weighs 20 pounds. Carving was soaked in n-propyl alcohol to help prevent cracking, dried, coated in transparent stain, and sprayed with ppg urethane clear coat. Please note that oak carvings are known for cracking. These natural cracks simply add to the beauty and uniqueness of the carving.
