Description: TWO Vintage, 1940’s, Century Cabinet Plates by SALEM CHINA CO. The Charger is 10-5/8 Across And Has Stunning 23 Karat Gold Trim. This Piece Has Never been Used But Has Been Displayed In A UV Protected Cabinet. No Damage But Crazing Can Be Found Simply Due To The Piece’s Age And There Are Slight Scratches As Shown In The Pictures. Pieces Are 70+ Years Old! Made in USA. Imperial Service Plates were made by the Salem China Company of Salem, Ohio. They measure 10 5/8" in diameter and were decorated with a wide array of decals. The wide rims were often given elaborate gold stampings over various colors such as green, maroon, cobalt blue, yellow, pink, brown, and light blue. In some cases the rims were not colored.
