Description: This listing is for a vintage Centrex by Pioneer receiver with 8 track player. When I first acquired this unit the power cord was damaged, so I replaced the cord. After testing I found that the left channel was out and there was static on the selector switch. So, I cleaned the pots and the selector switch and now both channels work great and there is no static or noise. The phono input is working. I was pleasantly surprised at the power this receiver puts out. The power consumption is only 60 watts, but it sounds more like 100 watts or more per channel. The 8-track player was repaired, cleaned, and demagnetized and is working well. The belt is still good. All the lights work. The function selector knob was missing and I replaced it, it's not identical to the original, but it works. The tuner knob sticks a little when you turn it. Cosmetically the condition is good. The faceplate is clean, and the 8-track door still has the plastic film attached. The wood cabinet is in very good condition but on one side the veneer is starting to separate. Also, the top edge of the face has lots of scratches. If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking.
