Description: The Beautiful Celtic Cinch Style Mug & Tankard Strap crafted for you by Dark Victory Armory This useful holder is our take on how to securely and authentically hold a handled tankard or narrow waisted goblet. The mug strap is intended to fit onto a typical high quality 1.5" width belt, but it can be customized for narrower or wider as requested. It uses our original loop and buttons design. The bottom strap is threaded through the handle of the drinking vessel and then the loop is drawn over the bottom button button. The top button can then be slid toward the bottom button to establish a positive lock that shall prevent the loop from moving. Further, the loop is secured at the back of the strap by two small knots, but these can be further tightened and knotted to draw the loop in and further secure the drinking vessel in it's place. It's a great feeling to know that things aren't going to drop off your belt and that thy hands may be freed when not drinking!We use a sturdy 10-11 oz drum dyed bridle leather for this premium product that we've made for many SCA and Ren-Faire participants. Our leather is sealed on all sides to prevent die transfer onto your attire. These are crafted from 1" straps and are very popular with the SCA, Rennie, and LARP folk.Dark Victory Armory uses superior hardware, finish, and leather while still offering the lower price. Possibly others?Top Loop for belt: We make these to hang on a 1 1/2" belt however we'll cheerfully accommodate requests for wider belts for no extra charge. Just let us know what you'd like and we'll craft something to make you happy.Width: We use 1" wide sealed bridle leather. While we think that this is the very best size, if you'd like something different, please ask and we can see what will work best for you. Patterns: The Celtic Weave is how we decorate the strap if you select the Celtic Model. We also deboss the thick leather buttons with a hand struck Celtic weave pattern leather stamp.We make this mug strap entirely by hand in our smoke free workshop in Saint Albans, Vermont.
