Blade is mirror finish stainless steel, sharp on cutting side with a false edge on back and serrations along first half of spine. Hard ABS plastic handle and scabbard with cast metal fittings. A little too large for a sgian dubh that is normally tucked into the top of a Highlander's hose, but compact enough it could still be stuck in a boot or sash. In battle it would have been an off-hand (secondary) weapon used in close combat, effective because of the penetrating power of it’s dagger-like point. This longer, heavier version often referred to as a Scottish Dirk.
