Based on test results with a VF160 recorder, this CD1A drive will not correctly save data to a cd-r disc or a cd-rw disc when using a VF160 with software lower than version 2.03... To see what your current version is, power on VF160 recorder and watch the display screen while initializing... It will show the current version... If you have software version 1.10 and up, you can update the software to version 2.08 via this CDRW drive... And I will include an upgrade cd (with easy to follow instructions) free of charge,just let me know...
