Description: 11&3/16" x 8" gilted leather in wooden slipcase, facsimile of the 1559 richly illustrated volume (of which the text was in German), complete, verbatim, to the point of even the heavy foxing from that 16th century book is reproduced here. Spectacular images in color as they appeared back in 1559, the pics shown here are a mere tip of the iceberg example of the many illustrations. Later, near end of book is section on treating eye disorders. On one of the early blank pages is a neatly written inscription. Same book lists for well over $100 on Abebooks and the sellers are all located in Europe, and I might mention no one else has the wood slipcase included as it is here.
