Description: LOCAL PICK UP ONLY - Northern California Fabulous carved wooden antique desk, “drop down” or secretary style. The ornate dark wood features a variety of hunting motifs: a rabbit, fish, and birds with crossed firearm and blades. Cabinet base with key, interior has multiple drawers. Generally very good condition with reasonable signs of age and wear, as well as some minor cracking in the left cabinet door (see pictures). Key to upper drawers missing, one is stuck shut. Beautiful and useful, this piece takes up a relatively small amount of space but offers abundant storage and organization. Work in style with this 19th century treasure! We believe this piece is likely by R. J. Horner, although the label is missing. It is certainly a similar style to other verified pieces. Desk is 57.5 inches high, 48 wide. Depth at top is 12 inches, at base 16.5. Depth with writing desk open is 29 inches.
