It is a brushed flannel (brushing is a mechanical process wherein a fine metal brush rubs the fabric to raise fine fibers from the loosely spun yarns to form a nap on one or both sides). It is 12 oz/yard in weight and 58" wide. For sale by the yard x 58". The plaid is almost 3.5" X 3.75" and is slightly lighter than the images. Sews beautifully, not scratchy. Washes with minimal shrinkage in cold water and air dry. Straight off the bolt! A skirt, shirt, or a shawl, perhaps a quick scarf with this great fabric. Why wool?
