Description: An exquisite Carlton Ware lidded Stork pattern box, set on a Noire Royale ground. The design on this trinket or card box is a highly decorative enamelled scene of storks wading among water lilies with cherry blossoms overhead. There is a gilded decorative rim around the cover of the box and plain gilding on the inside rim. There is some rubbing to the gilding on this inside rim but the rest is in excellent condition. Similarly, there are no chips or cracks elsewhere. The box measures 13.5 cms in length and 10cm in width. Australia wide postage $16.00.
